## Dreams - Proving a point
Dreams... Experience independent of "material world".
Hence the "mind" or "self" can produce/manifest a fully convincing/immersive reality.
Reality as defined by the existence of impressions; say sound, voice, emotions etc.
A phenomalogical reality.
If this is the case... how can we know that what we consider waking reality is not "merely" another dream.
It happens that I become lucid whilst I dream.
Or in other words, I realize that I am dreaming whilst I dream.
This realization enables me to alter the dream; in a nightmare i may simply "switch channels", or i may decide to fly. i may decide that the enemy i was charging at is.. asleep, their weapons not working.
```
Normally dreaming → fully inside construction → limitations feel absolute → cannot fly
Become aware you're dreaming → partial step outside construction → limitations become optional → fly, switch channels, disarm enemies
```
If similar mechanisms apply to "waking life" - a state of experience which may, in hindsight (after we die?) turn out to be yet another dream?
If "waking" reality is merely another dream - what would it take to become lucid?
## "Sleep Paralysis" - The Merge
I had these... certain periods...
The "waking" and the dream world "collides".
...
Sick, withdrawals, winter, change of year, boundary worlds, tallin, narva.
## Inter subject dream
Shared dreams...
Meeting in dreams, meeting real people in dreams.
...
So two agents can meet each other in dream state...
## Gnostics - shcools of thought
....
## Psychedelics - The Melting
Loosing language as objects melted, thought i was going insane/dying (identifying self with the "chatter/radio channel").
Objects became melted together, the rick and morty show left the screen, melted into the floor, the table and floor becoming one (they always were)
No longer able to communicate clearly with my companion.
Language no longer made sense; no distinct/separate objects, no words to capture them.
Thought i was loosing my mind, clinging to whatever words was left.
Eventually let go... best trip of my life...
Funny how society permits:
- Amphetamines for kids
- Anti depressants for... everyone
- Semi daily alchohol usage
- Various pain killers, sedatives and so on
But picking up a mushroom from the forest and consuming it... your a naughty nelly.
Perhaps someone has a vested interest here?
## Narrative - The Self Propagating Cage
Reality as constructed by narrative?
How many of our limitations are imparted upon us due to narrative -- "no you cannot fly".
A simple example; you wanna go lift a barbell, if you believe you cannot do it;
a) you never even try
b) you bail mid lift
A very down to earth example of how a "soft" narrative can concretely limit your physical capabilities.
Using the same model of questioning, which other things are limitations, merely because we believe they are?
How many limitations have become internalized because they've been repeated by authority figures since childhood, then later on your peers who eventually succumbed to the limitations too?
"Magic only exists in fiction"
"No you cannot fly" -- space x will IPO this year....
"No you can't..."
Most uttered limitations like this is merely the consequence of the individual uttering them, seeking to protect their ego by extrapolating their own limitations as universal law.
The true scientist/inventors/\*nauts are those who dare to seek out the strongest held limitation -- and then obliterates it.
The agents who truly wants to evolve are those who ruthlessly test; which of my limitations are consequences of narrative vs something I've personally put to the test.
## Linguistics
Why is a table a distinct object from say the floor that supports it?
Without something to stand on... the table would be nowhere..
Without someone to "observe" the table, it wouldn't exist either....
Merely a linguistic distinction -- the object as separate from the subject.
Mistaking abstraction, arbitrary cut outs of reality, for the fabric itself.
"intelligence cuts reality into pieces and proudly exclaims; look the world is made of pieces".
Congratulations...
Keep asking your science/math teacher "why" enough times.. see what happens, in my experience;
- "thats just how it is"
- "stop asking so much"
- "your distracting class"
- "not within curriculum, dont think about it"
When in reality; science is based on math/logic, and ultimately logic is based on axioms; rules that are.. axiomatic, ie. not derived but arbitrarely defined, nothing prooves it.
"thats just how it is".
Gotta remind you of a certain set of religions huh?
"trust bro"
Narrative about narrative generating narrative all the way down.
Over trusting "science", the ever changing narrative/explanation.
Mistaking a (highly) useful tool/lens for reality.
Taking the pyschosis to its ultimate conclusion by conflating language with "intelligence" and now we gotta deal with moronic ai priests....
## On Formalisms - axiomatic dogma
Studied the lambda calculus... some dude made up/discovered a couple of rules (formalism) -- from which all our other stuff, numbers and all that jazz that we like to cling to may be derived.
